Do I have to pay anything? Back to top

No. All parts of ashshaw.com, including Ash Shaw’s Monthly newsletter and Ash Shaw’s Internal Controls & Assurance bulletin, are completely free to use.

Will my e-mail address be used for advertising? Back to top

Ash Shaw’s Monthly newsletter and our Ash Shaw’s Internal Controls & Assurance bulletin is ad-free. We only keep a record of your e-mail address so we can send you the weekly email. We will not share your address with anyone else.

How do I know I've successfully joined the email distribution list? Back to top

You will be sent a confirmation e-mail welcoming you to Ash Shaw’s distribution list approximately 15 minutes after you sign up.

When should I receive my first email? Back to top

Newsletters are usually sent on the first Tuesday of the month and assurance bulletin mid-month.

What if I don’t receive a confirmation e-mail? Back to top

Confirmations are normally sent out 15 minutes after you sign up but sometimes there may be delays with mail servers, ISPs or the Internet itself. Please check any spam filtering software you may have just in case it’s filtered out. Plus you can always check that you spelt your e-mail address correctly by trying to add yourself again (you will be given a message telling you if your e-mail address is already on the list). Finally, you can check with your ISP to see if it's filtering out any e-mails at that end.

Why have my newsletters stopped arriving? Back to top

Have you installed any spam filtering or firewall software recently? Has your ISP installed any new filters that may be stopping our email tips from getting through? We rarely change the configuration of our email so a sudden stop usually results from other factors.

The text in my weekly email is jumbled or illegible Back to top

This does happen sometimes. The tip is sent in the internet language HTML and some older e-mail reading software doesn't support it properly. The best thing to do is upgrade your e-mail reading software to the latest version.

In the meantime, the monthly email is always duplicated in a fully readable version on the site. To see it go to http://www.ashshaw.com/newsletter.php.

How do I stop getting the email? Back to top

You can stop receiving the email by clicking the ‘unlist’ or ‘unsubscribe’ link in the emails you receive from us or by replying to the email with ‘Unlist’ in the subject line. Alternatively, visit this web page: http://www.ashshaw.com/unsubscribe.php and enter your email address in the box where it says "Email address", then click the "Submit" button.

What if I change my e-mail address? Back to top

If you change your email address or name, you can update your records by clicking the link in the monthly email which we send. You will find this link just below the signatures, in the footer information.

If this doesn't work, you can contact kate@ashshaw.com and request the change. Please ensure you include the original e-mail address in the message.
