The Situation
The Trustees were responsible for overseeing a medium-sized defined benefit scheme which was closed to new members. They had invested time and effort making sure that key pension processes operated smoothly, but were surprised that the audit fees had not been reduced, despite the improvements and simplicity of their closed pension scheme.
The trustees felt that the scheme was now much simpler and approached their current auditor to find out if the auditors were willing to revise their fees. Unfortunately, they were not.
The Solution
The Trustees contacted us to obtain details of our service. They liked our personal approach and industry 'know how', and decided to switch auditors. The switch needed to be 'hassle free' and with Ash Shaw's helpsheet they knew exactly what needed to be done. And the results speak for themselves!
This year the accounts were completed within five month's of the scheme's year end and they are looking forward to achieving our 30 day challenge next year.
